Joanne is a Lay Health Educator for Project "INFORMED." She has helped Vietnamese Americans to stay informed with updated information on COVID-19. She is pleased to continue contributing her efforts to help English-speaking Vietnamese or Asian Americans to learn new knowledge and skills to live healthily. My name is Joanne Nguyen. I am a 3rd year undergraduate student at Dominican University of California obtaining my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I am a peer mentor, honors student, and a student honors board class representative. I am an advocate for my fellow peers and honors community, and will continue doing so as a future health care provider for my patients. I identify as a Vietnamese American and have grown up being involved in many Vietnamese associations as a volunteer, martial artist, and youth leader. In the future, I hope to use my passions in healthcare to provide the utmost care to all who I meet.
