Janice Tsoh, PhD

Janice Tsoh, PhD is a clinical psychologist and Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine. She is a co-director of the Asian American Research Center on Health (AsianARCH.org). Dr. Tsoh's current research, being funded by the California Tobacco-Related Research Program and the National Institutes of Health, focuses on tobacco cessation treatment in vulnerable populations including Asian American immigrants and cancer patients. Dr. Tsoh is a Principal Investigator of the Healthy Family Project, a community-based health promotion project that has provided lifestyle educational interventions to more than 1200 individuals and families in Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese languages since 2012. Leveraging community engagement and rigorous methods, Dr. Tsoh's research aims to promote health equity by developing accessible intervention resources that can empower individuals and families to make informed health decisions and to take an active role in staying healthy.
