Weeko Vang, is a staff research associate in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine. She is a graduate student from San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health, Concentration in Health Services Administration (HSA). She took part in the Healthy Family Project: COVID INFORMED study as an intern and has contributed to research to expand responsive and informative resources for educating Asian Americans to stay healthy. She was born and raised in the Central Valley and identifies as a Hmong American. Her interest in the field of study includes aiding the development of research to promote health and well-being within vulnerable Asian American communities, but not limited to, those which encounter health disparities. Besides her time committed at UCSF, she is also an administrative assistant under the Department of Audiology at the University of the Pacific School of Health Sciences, where she supports the patient flow and management of the clinic; in addition to assisting the clinical education and placements of the three-year doctoral program.
